Trade Policy Uncertainty and Enterprise Inventory Management Behavior

This paper takes the Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) granted by United States after China's accession to WTO as a quasi-natural experiment, and systematically examines impact of changes in trade policy uncertainty on inventory management behavior enterprises using method multiple differences. finds that decline has significantly reduced quantity enterprise inventory, especially those exporting States. From perspective changes, this provides new explanation for understanding dynamic Chinese recent years, also helps evaluate economic effects changes.
